101 Wild West Rodeo

Thursday, August 9, 2007 BCAP supporters attended the 48th annual 101 Wild West Rodeo in Ponca City.  The Ponca City Rodeo Foundation started a new tradition with the implementation of a Tough Enough To Wear Pink Night.

Tough Enough To Wear Pink, (TETWP) founded by Terry Wheatley, a breast cancer survivor, and Karl Stressman, Director of Special Events for Wrangler is an exciting campaign to raise awareness and funds in the western community at rodeos across the country.

The rodeo's Thursday evening performance was designated as “Pink Night.” On this night, the Ponca City Rodeo Foundation gave $1.00 for each person in the audience who was wearing pink and donated $50.00 for each event winner who was wearing pink. BCAP was honored to be the recipient of these funds.

BCAP ordered pink shirts with our logo in support of  this event. We enjoyed the 101 Wild West Rodeo and thank the Ponca City Rodeo Foundation!
